Who we are

LifeSci Signal is run by Dr. Olivia Rickman-Wells, who is responsible for the data described in this policy.

Information we collect

This site does not have any account sign-up, contact form, or newsletter sign-up, so we don't collect names, email addresses, or messages through it. The information we do handle is limited to:

• Standard server and hosting logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information for every visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This is used only to operate and secure the site, and isn't used to identify you personally.
• Your cookie preference. When you make a choice in our cookie banner, that choice is stored in your browser (see "Cookies" below).
• Analytics usage data, if you consent. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as pages viewed, time on site, and general location and device type. See "Cookies" and "Third-party services" below.

Cookies

We use a small amount of browser storage to remember your cookie preference. This falls into two categories:

• Necessary. Records the choice you make in the cookie banner itself, so we don't ask you again on every visit. The site can't function as intended without this.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are viewed and how people arrive here). Google Analytics only runs, and only sets its cookies, if you accept this category in the cookie banner — by default, analytics tracking is switched off. You can change your mind and revoke this consent at any time.

You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

Third-party services

The Poppins typeface and Material Symbols icons used on this site are hosted directly by us rather than loaded from Google Fonts, so no font-related request is made to Google's servers. We do link out to our social media profiles (LinkedIn, Instagram, Bluesky); once you follow one of those links, that platform's own privacy policy applies.

If you consent to analytics cookies, this site usesGoogle Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior information in an anonymous form. This data is processed by Google in accordance withGoogle's Privacy Policy. You can opt out at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer, or by using theGoogle Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We also useAhrefs Web Analyticsto measure aggregate site traffic (such as pages viewed, referring sites, approximate location, and device type). Your rights and choices

Because we don't collect personal information through this site beyond the limited items described above, there is generally nothing for us to hold on your behalf. Where applicable data protection law gives you rights over your information — such as the right to know what's held about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or to object to how it's used — you're welcome to contact us with any such request, and we'll respond as required by law.

Changes to this policy

If what this site collects or how it's used changes — for example, if we add a contact form or activate analytics — we'll update this page and revise the date at the top.
